How can I boost ventilation?
- If you have a touch screen pad with three levels, simply select the level yuou require on the touchpad. We recommend keeping the level at 3 for baths and showers. You can boost the level for a short period of time. If you click the number 3, it will turn white. After about 15-20 minutes the ventilation will automatically go back to auto.
- If you want to boost the ventilation for longer periods, click and hold the setting you want until it turns purple. This means that the ventilation will stay at that level until you turn it back to auto.
- If your ventilation booster has a single switch (it looks like a light switch) you can turn it on to boost. You can simply flick the switch five minutes before you want to use the bath or shower and turn it off approximately five to ten minutes after showering.
- Remember that the system is boosted by you flicking the switch; this is usually above the main bathroom light switch and it is turned off in the same way. Turning off the switch will return the ventilation to auto.
- It is important to boost the ventilation system before having showers or baths, as it reduces condensation in both main and en-suite bathrooms. All Glenveagh homes are A-rated, with excellent insulation and ventilation, but there are things you can do to make sure that excess moisture isn’t present. Boosting ventilation before baths and showers and leaving it boosted for a short while afterwards is the best way to prevent issues in the future.
